Honor Guard

The Meriden Police Department Honor Guard Services are tasked with representing the City of Meriden and the Meriden Police Department in a professional, ceremonious, and dignified manner that demonstrates the history, tradition, and formal aspects of the policing profession.

Honor Guard personnel make appearances at numerous memorial or ceremonial events, such as: funerals, parades, promotion and award ceremonies, or any other similar events. The Honor Guard serves a very special purpose, which is to project a positive image of our Department and of the policing profession. In times of mourning, the Honor Guard represents the Police Department in solemn dignity to honor fallen comrades.
